By plane: Lübeck-Blankensee Airport (LBC) is
a small airport connecting Lübeck with Munich,
Stuttgart, Bern and Salzburg. From there, you can
take a taxi or public transport (see www.bahn.de)
to come to Travemünde.
The closest international airport is Hamburg (HAM).
From Hamburg Airport you can get the S-Bahn
(suburban rail network) line S1. Line S1 operates
every 10 minutes between Hamburg Airport and
Hamburg’s central railway station, Hauptbahnhof, a
journey of only 25 minutes. Trains from Hamburg
central station to Lübeck central station operate
from 8 am - 8 pm, every 30 minutes and before and
after that every hour. The journey from Hamburg to
Lübeck is approximately 40 minutes. The “Hamburg
Airport (Flughafen)” S-Bahn station is directly in
front of the terminals.
By ferry: Lübeck and Travemünde are served
by TT-Line (from Trelleborg, Sweden), Nordö Link
(Malmö), Finnlines (Helsinki and Malmö), and Stena
Line (Liepāja, Latvia).
The last mile: The Theodor-Schwartz
house is about 3 km from Travemünde and 20 km
from Lübeck train station. There is a bus connection
(line 40). It runs from Lübeck ZOB via
Travemünde-Strandbahnhof to Scharbeutz. The bus stop
"Brodten" is approx. 200m away from the venue.
In addition, there will be a shuttle service from
Travemünde-Strandbahnhof to the conference center.
